  • What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?
    Veterinary physiotherapy is the use of physical and electro-physical techniques for the treatment of musculoskeletal imbalance and movement dysfunction in animals.
  • Is my Pet Suitable for Physiotherapy?
    Physiotherapy can be adapted to pets of all walks of life, however if your pet is suffering from any discomfort or abnormalities, it is best to check with your vet beforehand.
  • Do I Need Referral for Physiotherapy?
    Under The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015, any pet with illness, disease or pathology must be treated by therapists under veterinary surgeon approval. Following updates to law in 2020, any healthy animal can be seen by a physiotherapist without referral, but MUST be registered to a veterinary clinic. Any concerns found within a veterinary physiotherapy assessment must be reported back to the veterinary surgeon by law. Animals displaying any signs of discomfort or dysfunction that is not on the referral, will need to be checked by the veterinary surgeon before treatment is started.
  • Is Furapy Veterinary Physiotherapy just for Dogs?
    Not at all! We treat feline patients and other small animals also.
  • Do I Need to Visit a Clinic?
    There is no need for you and your pet to leave your home, We bring our clinic to you! All physiotherapy services from Furapy are mobile based.
